November Meeting "Putting Your Garden to Rest for the Winter" - 11/5 6 PM

The Homesteading (Gardener's) Roundtable will hold their November meeting Tuesday, November 5th at 6 PM. Because of the library's new hours, meetings will now be held on the first Tuesday of each month. With Winter just around the corner, now is the time to start thinking about putting your garden to rest. Amanda Estee from Cameron's Home and Garden Center will be visiting us to talk about preparing your garden for the colder months and having it ready for another prosperous growing season next year!
The Homesteading Roundtable (formerly the Gardener's Roundtable) is a group of gardeners and homesteaders in Farmington, NH, and the surrounding communities. We meet at the Goodwin Library in Farmington, NH, but anyone is welcome regardless of whether or not they have a library card. We invite a different speaker to our meeting each month and have covered a wide variety of topics in the past year such as hydroponics, home beer making, and Lyme disease prevention.

The Gardener's Roundtable had Michael Snyder of One Love Brewery for the October program; he discussed homebrewing beer. He talked about the equipment and ingredients that are needed in the beer making process. He also covered any different styles of beer, fermentation, and homebrewing from a professional perspective. One Love Brewery is a new brewery opening in Dover, NH, that will share its roof with 7th Settlement Brewery. Both breweries believe in supporting the community that helped them grow and will be using locally farmed foods in their seasonal menus at the brewery/restaurant. Enjoy the video!
